Friday morning (2/9) was all about the annual making of the birthday cake for my honey:
a dark chocolate layer cake with dark chocolate frosting…which will be consumed Saturday night with friends!!!
No wonder we need to serve it with vanilla ice cream….to cut all of that chocolate richness :~). My honey was home in time from errands to lick out the frosting mixing bowl, and he loved it!
Marcia & Brenda stopped by to pick up the king sized quilt and they LOVED it!!! I was very happy to have it done and outta my house :~).
I got Darlene’s 1st quilt loaded in the afternoon (isn’t this just so very pretty?):
and got a program set up and kicked off and managed to get 3 rows done:
before joining my honey for TV watching around 7:30 PM.
And BG recently gifted 2 finished quilts to people…the recipients loved them and were totally surprised to receive them!!!
And the last from June...
A little girl asked her mother, 'Can I go outside and play with
the boys?'
Her mother replied, 'No, you can't play with the boys, they're too rough.'
The little girl thought about it for a few moments and asked,
If I can find a smooth one, can I play with him?'
A little girl goes to the barber shop with her father.
She stands next to the barber chair, while her dad gets his hair cut,
eating a snack cake The barber says to her,
'Sweetheart, you're gonna get hair on your muffin.'
She says, 'Yes, I know, and I'm gonna get boobs too.'
Happy Birthday, Michael from the Daubermans!!! The colors in Darlene's quilt are so pretty and Springy!
