My honey headed out at 7:30 AM for golf on Saturday (5/20) and I got a late, late start on my crafts. I felt very tired when I got up, and after I did my emails and made my tea and fed the dog, I just decided I should go back to bed so that I could nap with my mask on (I wear a CPAP mask, and when I sleep without it, I stop breathing so many times that I really don’t get the rest I think I do!)
Anyway, I went back to bed at 8:30, and woke up at 10 AM!!!!! Guess I must have really needed it. I made some breakfast and got my blog out and was finally ready to be productive with fabric around 11 AM. I got to the last piece of pillowcase fabric that I brought home from SHQ:
but I could not find anything in my stash that I really liked with it (I'm really hoping to find reddish/orange fabric for the tops), so, I’ll have to hit Hobby Lobby next week (if that’s when fabric is on sale) and find something for the pillow tops. In the meantime, I got it all cut for pillow bottoms and got the skinny strips cut and pressed as well…..I’m all set to go! I don’t want to set up my serger until I can do all of the pillowcases at once, so I dropped back to working on getting the last of my One Block Wonder blocks sewn into rows:
Paula came down in the afternoon:
for a nice long chinwag, with a long list of topics she wanted to cover :~), and Ann Mary stopped in at the end to talk about helping Doug (Paula’s hubby) with his dizziness. They both left after 4 PM and I only got a few more blocks sewn before stopping for dinner. Michael and I got pizza for dinner and settled in to watch the finales of several of our shows.

Another thing that happened when the blog was down….we finally got everything torn out and some edging put up around our flower beds….

I really missed your tales of adventure when you were down 🥺. I wondered about Cookie’s health (it is good seeing her in the picture above🤩).
Needless to say, I am VERY happy to read your posts, see Michael’s cards, marvel at your artistry, and chuckle at your fur babies every day again🤩.
