Michael was in a little bit of a tizzy when we got up Sunday morning (12/3)…he said there were too many good things to eat for breakfast (fresh bread…so he likes to make gas housers with that, leftover cranberry stuff, cinnamon bread, or even an omelet) and he didn’t know what to choose. Finally he settled on a little bit of cranberry bread, a walk with the dog and then something more substantial, an omelet with cinnamon bread!
I decided to take a kitchen break today and headed downstairs….first to get my blog out (that took an hour!), then to finalize a sympathy note and get it printed and posted and finally to get the SHQ minutes out. I spent another hour working on paperwork and finally around NOON I was ready to have some fun!
This is what constitutes some fun for me:
A customer quilt, loaded and the quilting kicked off:
The only bad news was that my thread break sensor was going off every 3 stitches, so I had to turn that off as I don't know how to adjust the sensor to make that not happen :~(. Jimmy thought he had it fixed when he was here....but apparently it is not 100%.
I was also working on a second:
while it was stitching out and Michael was laying out some blocks I completed at the Fiber Floozie retreat this year:
BG was kind enough to send a picture of her 3rd Advent gift (and in addition...you're getting a gratuitous look at her PJ's!):
and after having meatloaf leftovers for dinner, we hunkered down to knit and watch the finale of THE GREAT BRITISH BAKING SHOW…spoiler alert (if you haven’t watched yet…..STOP READING!!!) We both felt it was Josh’s to lose….and unfortunately that’s just what he did….but we were thrilled for underdog Matty who rose to the occasion like a champ!!!

Me…eating through yet another chocolate Advent calendar. ***
Ok shut the door already!
Very interested in your new blocks...please show me pattern/method when we next visit. I think that would lend itself well to scrappy.
