I was excited to hit my studio on Tuesday morning (1/18)…since I finished the men’s top the night before, (and you might not remember, but it was inspired by BG's quilt):
it was time to start something new :~). I had pulled out a pattern while AZ M was here for a Potato Chip Quilt that uses only 2 fabrics, so that’s what I started cutting. I’m saving that for my Thursday project, so I put it in my pizza box (a new size, picked up by my honey while he was running errands to 2 grocery stores, the library, the liquor store, then chiro and a stop to get his hair cut):
I spent the rest of the afternoon starting another men’s quilt….I have a number of 4 patches leftover from the one top I finished:
-remember this top?
-leftover 4 patches
and I have some leftover strips from the quilt top just finished, so I started making more strata:
and 4 patches to pull together another quilt.
Michael came down for a bit in the afternoon....with his faithful companion on his lap:
I headed upstairs around 5 PM to shape the meatloaf and get it in the oven…in the meantime, Michael was making potato/carrot mash. We headed outside at 6:21 to watch the ISS fly overhead, and when we came back inside, everything was ready. We ate around 6:30 and that meal was AWESOME!!!!!!! We haven’t had potato/carrot mash in FOREVER and it tasted particularly good…and the meatloaf was divine :~).
Michael is foregoing the movie theatres at least for the month of January (too much COVID around and too many people), so he wanted to make popcorn and watch a movie at home. I headed back to my studio and continued to work on my additional 4 patches until 9:30 PM, when I joined him upstairs.
*** I’m so old, I can remember going through an entire day without taking a picture of anything. ***
Nice picture of M and Cookie !
