I forgot to tell you that Janice called Saturday morning to chew me out!!! Apparently, she has had LESSONS IN CHEMISTRY by Bonnie Garmus on hold at the library for awhile…and it finally came in Thursday or Friday. She started reading it….AND NOW SHE DOESN’T WANT TO DO ANYTHING ELSE EXCEPT READ!!!! I love it when someone feels the same way I do about a book!!!
My honey made me a yummy egg/cheese/toast for breakfast on Sunday (3/26) with some of those AWESOME strawberries from Ivy Place:
I went back to quilting after that, and I finished up:
just as the thunder was rolling in. Michael and Cookie got back from their walk just in time as well.
I needed a break after that, so I dropped back to my block on block quilt…I told you I got all of the rows sewn together, so I got all of the row seams pressed open:
and the original plan was to add a skinny black border, then to use all of the leftover colors as an outer border….but when I measured it, it is already almost the size that I want…..so I just cut strips for a black border and got it applied and called it a day:
by then I felt like I could go back to my customer quilt, so I got all of my bobbin ends woven in and the basting ripped out...I think the design looks awesome:
Since the block on block was off of the design wall, my honey laid out all of my embroideries so that I can start to put that quilt top together:
And I had a bit of energy left, so I got the binding done for the block on block:
before 7 PM when I went upstairs and collapsed.
You have GOT to check out this stunning x-stitch that my college roomie’s hubby just finished….he loves to do these intricate, large designs, I think this is a gift for a neighbor who loves roses:
And look at these beautiful butterflies:
Anne knows how much I love butterflies, so she snapped a few pics while out walking near the Lake House.

Beautiful work by you @nd Claude and Anne!
Thank you for including Claude's cross-stitch. He does love doing the larger, more involved pieces. I love the customer quilt! It reminds me of the applique quilts my grandmother did. The butterflies are pretty awesome too!
The x stitch roses are beautiful, well done college roome’s hubby
Such a productive & happy blog today! And the butterflies!! ❤️
Claude's x-stitch is STUNNING!! I KNOW the number of hours went into something like that!!!!!
