I had a wonderful, long chat with Mary Jo on Monday morning (11/29). She is finally home (from the hospital) and slowly recovering from viral pneumonia. She was in the hospital for a WEEK! By the time she got tested for COVID and the flu (both negative) and got in to see her doctor, the doctor said ‘’do not pass go, do not collect $200, go directly to the emergency room.’’ She is still on steroids and tires easily, but the steroids are not letting her sleep much. It was terrific to talk to her and hear about everything going on with her life.
I took a shower and headed downstairs after that, determined to sew together the rest of the 4 patches….as the kitties had once again knocked a bunch of blocks off. Michael came down (bringing my breakfast) to do his emails, and we watched a couple of NOVAs together. They are having some fascinating hours on the universe, and we watched all about black holes and the big bang. I got another section of 4 patches put together…but not pressed. Pressing takes me a long time because I press all of my seams open, but I had to set that aside when we left at 1:30 PM for my mammogram. Michael dropped me off and headed to BJ’s to start buying all of the rest of the stuff I need to go with the 15 pounds of chocolate that were delivered the other day. He got a lot of what I needed, then we stopped at ALDI’s for the rest:
I got my mammogram results before I left, and I’m in the ‘’probably benign’’ category. I have some dense tissue in one of my breasts, but it has not changed since 6 months ago, so that is what’s putting me in the ‘’probably’’ category. I still have to have another diagnostic mammogram next year before being released back to regular screening.
We picked up cheddar chicken sandwiches from ARBY’s, as it was after 5 PM by the time we got home. We thought the sandwiches were just ok….so probably won’t get them again. I spent an hour after dinner getting my seams all pressed:
before joining Michael for the rest of the night.
These next pictures are entitled ''why do I buy cat beds when a box is just as much fun?''
*** Cooler weather is coming….unfortunately, I never got that bikini body back, but I can rock a hoodie and sweatpants like nobodies business!!! ***
I did not know MaryJo was in the hospital and that sick. Glad she is doing better and on the mend.
In your case, I'm guessing shorts vs sweatpants ! ;)
Thanks M for shopping for my friend !
