Sunday (11/21) was a busy day…getting everything set for the cast party. First up, Cookie always hits up Michael with her ''play with me daddy'' posture:

-I had to take a movie so that I could get that tail action:

After that, my honey made a pretty awesome looking breakfast:

before heading to the store to pick up a few last minute things for me.

I was making the ham/cheese sliders when he left:

Those are always a big hit…and easy to do. When Michael got back with my veggies, I sautéed up some onions and zucchini for my lasagna. I always like to bulk it up with some veggies, so I started to layer that:

Three more layers of the same stuff and it was ready for the fridge.

Once that was done, I dropped back to getting the binding on the 3rd QoV:

I didn’t want to have to take down and set my machine back up….so I got the binding done.

Michael was trying to relax for just a bit before he had to head out to the theatre...but some furry kids wouldn't let him alone:

Michael left shortly after that, and by the time I got everything in the kitchen put away, it was time to focus on my list:

I’ll tell you, it’s a good thing I made it as I had totally forgotten about making the pastry crème! I baked the tart first, as it could be served at room temperature. This was a new recipe and I would definitely make it again...it's a butternut squash and mushroom tart:

before people started to arrive at 6 PM...bringing more food as well:

What a wonderful cast and crew! Everyone was so much fun! And….because it was a ‘’school night’’…and some of the youngsters are still working….everyone left by 8 PM and Michael and I collapsed! I am SO GLAD we got to have all of those people over.
