I promised Pat I would try walking outside, so Sunday morning (7/17) I headed down to Kay & Pete’s house and back….not very far, but it was a start. It would help if the temperature and humidity weren’t so disgusting :~). Michael headed to the grocery store after that, and brought me breakfast from WENDY’s. I read my book while eating, and finally headed downstairs around 11 AM, with my honey settled in to watch the final round of the British Open. I had had another bad night of non-sleep….slept from 11 – 2 AM, wandered around the house from 2 – 5 AM, took a pain pill and went back to sleep from 5 – 8 AM, and when that happens, I feel like I have no reserve to deal with anything. I sent a quick text to Janice, and we ended up having a nice, long talk, which made me feel a bit better. I got my blog entry out after that, and dropped back to sewing the blocks into rows for Blues #2:
As well as stiching up some tears in one of my honey's golf club covers:

I spent Monday (7/18) reading a library book, and attending my PT appointment. Daniel really put me through my paces, but the good news is, I got 100 degree bend in my knee :~). The rest of the day was uneventuful....but I finished reading my library book when I got up at 3 AM....I HIGHLY recommend this book...I couldn't put it down....THE GOLDEN COUPLE with 2 authors GREER and HENDRICKS. I've already put another book on hold at the library from from the same authors :~).
And more show and tell, this time from my college roommate's hubby....here's what Debbie had to say:
We thought you might like to see what cross-stitch project Claude just had framed. You know he loves to tackle very large, complex projects. This Lanarte Limited Edition Four Seasons kit was designed by Marjolein Bastin. The cross-stitch design is 24.8 inches by 35.2 inches. As with all of Marjolein Bastin’s artwork and cross-stitch designs, there is a great amount of detail with all of the flowers, birds, and insects. It was one of the most complex pieces he has ever stitched. He began the piece in March 2021 and completed it in November 2021.The framing, which is absolutely beautiful, was just completed.
*** I don’t know if my pants are feeling loose because I’m losing weight…or the elastic is finally giving up the fight. ***
*** WIFE: Shall we try a different position tonight?
HUSBAND (excitedly): Excellent idea!!!
WIFE: OK, you stand at the sink and wash dishes and I will lie on the sofa and watch TV. ***
Claude's work is gorgeous. I agree with MaryJo about Marjolein Bastin. I would think His name should be in the middle not hers. Glad you are walking too, hopefully with a cane and not a walker and better yet nothing. Hope to see you tomorrow at SHQ.
I wonder how Claude ties in his ends ? And if he does ALL of one color at a time. (wink, wink) Too bad that Marjolein Bastin needs to have herself as the main focus. 🙄
BRAVO to Claude and thanks to his honey for sharing with us, and you too !
I bet he doesn't have any UFO's...
i am proud that you are walking!!
I don't have contact info for Debbie, but please pass on...Claude's work is MAGNIFICENT!!!
