Advisers to former President Donald Trump drafted two versions of executive orders to seize voting machines in the aftermath of the 2020 election, multiple sources tell CNN. The orders tasked the Department of Defense and the Department of Homeland Security to seize machines in states that Trump lost as part of a broader effort to undermine the presidential election results. It is unclear who drafted the executive orders, and neither was issued. At least one of the orders has been handed over by the National Archives to the House select committee investigating the January 6 insurrection.

We spent Monday (1/31) down in the basement, working with the movers to get many of the big items back in place:
-my desk and quilting studio
-the guest bedroom
-guest room closet (where all of my yarn and quilt tops live):
-hallway
-Michael's art room
They left around 1 PM with most of bigger pieces set up where they are supposed to be. And my new shelves are in place:
And a ba-zillion boxes and bags to be weeded out (trust me....this is just a sampling of what has to be gone through):
I’ve already sent a bunch of boxes upstairs to be given away (including 2 boxes of Christmas train stuff), but there is a ton more I need to get rid of.
Michael and I split a grilled ham/cheese sandwich for lunch:
and I started weeding things out on my sewing machine table:
-box lids will be recycled…I used to keep my long term projects in them, but I’ve switched over to pizza boxes…much easier to stack (see them on the metal shelves in the picture just under my new shelves. You're looking at the green side of the pizza boxes), so these are going
-storage boxes of alcohol inks moved to Michael’s art room
-this pile of longarm threads needs to go on top of my drawers of fabric….
but the space where the drawers of fabric go currently looks like this:
so that’s what I started on next.
My honey came down to his computer in the afternoon, and of course Lucy wouldn’t leave him alone:
In the meantime, Ethel was following me all around the room:
By dinnertime I had 3/4 of that pile gone….
mostly it will be going out of this house….yay…..a few things will be kept!
Since you’re certainly not seeing any quilting pics from me…I have other eye candy to show you:
-a UFO finish from Mary Jo:
-Arizona Mary started this when she was here....I love how it looks so of course I am HOT to make it:
*** Theme parks can snap a crystal clear picture of you on a roller coaster going 70 mph, but bank cameras can't get a clear shot of a robber standing still. ***
I love Arizona Mary's quilt too !!!
Even though the pictures of all the piles look daunting, you will be so much happier with the finish if you keep up sorting through bit by bit and weeding out stuff rather than just throwing it all back where it was. THIS IS YOUR OPPORTUNITY TO ACCOMPLISH A LONGTIME WISH!!
Things are starting to get back in place, looks really fresh, I’m sure you will enjoy it. Our bathroom countertop was supposed to be installed late yesterday afternoo. When they got here they realized it was cut wrong, one of the sink holes is in the wrong spot and not something they can fix. They have another piece which supposedly is similar but thicker that they will cut today and bring back tomorrow, 🤞
