Michael left for golf Wednesday morning (3/22), while Cookie and I headed back to the vet’s office. My baby was good as gold on the ride down and back, and was also the very best patient while they took blood:
I think Michael and I called it correctly Tuesday night...that Cookie has turned a corner, because Wednesday morning at the vet’s, she ate more food than she has eaten in 2 full weeks….HOORAY!!! I was home in time to make tea and SKYPE with Janice, while my fur baby was sleeping on a kitchen chair. Susie came by at 11 AM, and I picked her brain about recipes and quilt borders before getting help for my customer’s 1930’s quilt. I was struggling with what pattern to use….and she helped me to pick one out. She had to leave before 1 PM, as they are getting new bedroom furniture…the first time in 30 years! Apparently they had a really high bed (requiring a small step stool to get into), and thought that maybe they should replace it with something a bit lower and easier to get in to.
I had some breakfast after she left and spent the rest of the day making 2 labels (picture eventually) and sewing on my block-on-block quilt (it's all sewn into rows now):

I took a bunch of piddle-y little things to get done at quilting on Thursday (3/23)…labels cleaned up, reclaiming secret project fabric (I think the big reveal will be early April!!!), getting the outer border cut and made for the on-point QoV....in general, procrastinating on sewing on my Thursday project which are Strip Twist blocks!!! There was some terrific show and tell today:
-of course I love this one
-and this one
-isn't this a stunner?!?!
Diane gave me a ride home and we sat in the driveway and talked for over an hour!!! It was lovely!
The rest of the day got away from me as I was worried about my honey. He has joined a new Thursday league and was supposedly golfing against someone he does not care for at all…the guy is a real jerk…and even more so when he drinks! I worried and prayed for my honey the rest of the afternoon, and when he was finally done at 6:30 PM, he called and I found out it wasn’t that bad….a fact for which I was EXTREMELY grateful! The group had a quick dinner before coming home, so he wasn’t home until 7:30, and the night just sped by after that. The best thing about Thursday night? Cookie ate dinner...the 4th meal in a row that she has eaten....color me VERY grateful!!!
*** Sorry I haven’t gotten anything done today…I’ve been in the produce department trying to open this stupid plastic bag. ***
How was that quilted? In little sections?? WOW!
Was the white quilt pieces at all or just quilted in the different designs
