Current COVID related deaths: 654,696
COVID deaths yesterday: 654,466
The current daily average of 155,000 newly reported infections has left many hospitals deeply shorthanded. Available beds, ventilators and staff have been hard to come by in some hospitals, and now that scarcity has spread to oxygen supplies. One doctor in Florida, which has the highest hospitalization rate in the country, says he’s seeing younger and younger patients die of the disease. They are all unvaccinated, he added.

We were up and out Sunday morning (8/29) as Tom & Janice:
had asked us to meet them for breakfast. We went to STACKS in Waxhaw and I told myself I should get something I don’t get at home. The special was a waffle with fresh peaches and whipped cream…and it was AWESOME!!!!!
The flavor of the 'sauce' under the whipped cream was unbelieveably good!! Michael and I both got that, and shared a side of hash browns and bacon:
We talked for over 2 hours before finally getting home after a quick stop at CVS and ALDI's.
Michael got an ocular migraine right as we got home…so we relaxed in the living room for about half an hour until it went away. The only problem with my breakfast was…I think it was way more sugar than I normally eat…and I crashed and needed a nap after that.
I was finally moving around 3 PM and headed to my studio to get a move on, on my customer quilt. She has a second one that is under a time crunch…..so I wanted to try to get the current one out of the way. By the time I went upstairs at 8 PM to join my honey…the quilt was done:
She used a high loft polyester batting...which made it a very poofy quilt. I remember how disappointed I was when I got my first quilt back....and I was a big fan of comforters...and my quilt was the thickness of a sheet :~(. BG - remember Aritha???
My honey and I split a grilled cheese sandwich for dinner, as we were both still full from breakfast:
*** My friend told me about a home COVID test. I’m gonna share it with you because it could save your life. Open a bottle of wine and pour some in a glass. Now what you do is first you smell it….and then you taste it. If you can smell it and taste it, you don’t have COVID-19. Last night I did this test 19 times, and they all came back negative. Tonight I’m gonna do the test again because I woke up with a headache…and I’m afraid I might be coming down with something. ***
You're doing a whole comedy routine here!! Love it!
