I was on the road to Charlotte by 7:20 AM Friday morning (2/4). Now, we used to go into Charlotte once a month or so, for plays and such. Obviously that hasn’t been happening for 2 years, so why do I still get caught, on the ONE day I am driving in….in the dark….in the RAIN?!?!? I had an appointment with my hip replacement doctor. I’ve been having some issues over the past month where suddenly I am in agonizing pain and my leg doesn’t seem to want to move/work and only sitting down makes it feel better (I had one such attack when Arizona Mary was here for a visit ~(. There doesn’t seem to be a specific trigger for it happening. Of course, just like your car won’t make that weird noise (that you've been hearing for months) when you take it into the garage, I felt perfectly fine this morning and passed all of the motion and strength tests with flying colors. My doctor prescribed an anti-inflammatory as he feels I may have an inflamed tendon….I’m to take them for 2 weeks…..so I guess we’ll see. I got home in time to head across the street for a massage. Usually my massage therapist stretches out my hips….but I asked the doctor when I was there and he specifically said no stretching….so I just had a wonderfully relaxing massage. I was home around 2 PM and was just wiped out. I slept really rough last night, so laid down for a nap until 3 PM. I finally joined my honey in the basement to get through my emails and get out a blog entry. I was finally done just after 4 PM, and decided I’d better get my customer quilt basted, to hopefully complete over the weekend:
I took a picture of my fabric from Corinne's:
I already have a quilt pattern that this will look great in!
And, I keep forgetting to show you this sweet card Michael drew to cheer someone up:
We had fish sandwiches from ARBY’s for dinner (yum!) and watched the opening ceremonies from the Olympics in the evening…spectacular!
*** I can't get the cork off of my dinner. ***
*** As I get older and remember all of the people I've lost along the way, I think to myself...
maybe a career as a tour guide wasn't for me. ***
Both funnies were so good! Thanks for posting my drawing! it was quite good!
New fabrics BEAUTIFUL!! Can't wait to see them in action. If that was the total purchase, applause!!
