In Germany, teaching the Holocaust is mandatory. It includes visits to concentration camps, museums, etc. They don’t shy away from their own ugly history. Yet the kids aren’t damaged; they’re strengthened, matured, humbled. The US needs to do the same with slavery. It’s not that complicated.

Janice had out-of-town company this week, so we didn’t get to SKYPE on Wednesday….but she called Friday morning (4/22) to tell me a close friend had just died, so we decided to SKYPE then.
Michael headed out for a walk with Cookie and by the time he got home we were done talking and I got my blog out. Then it was back to the longarm. I have had these customer quilts for over a week already…it’s time to get them done whether my back hurts or not!! So, I got the first one loaded and basted without too many aches and pains:
and set it all up and kicked off the quilting:
While that was going on I continued to work on my #2 chandelier….and the bottom half is all sewn together:
I've decided that when I take any chandelier in for show and tell, I need to take all 3 together, so people can tell the differences.
Michael headed out in the afternoon for some errands (grocery store, CVS, library) and then relaxed once he got home. By dinnertime I had completed all but 3 rows of my quilting and I also made a start on sewing the top half of the #2 chandelier together:
I have to show you a picture of dinner:
Does that look healthy or what??? Sweet potato, broccoli, tomatoes and some tilapia filled us up for the rest of the night.
And as an added treat…I have another bunch of show & tell today! Arizona Mary’s friend Deb is also a quilter and has completed a number of beautiful things:
-quilt she is currently making...with piano key border in second picture
Hasn't she made some spectacular quilts?

BODY: You’re old and you want pizza! ***
Cool looking quilts, I like the bunch of hanging quilts. What is that they are hanging from?
