Fiber Floozie Retreat - 2021

Another Fiber Floozie retreat has come to an end ~sigh~

If you have never been on a quilting/sewing retreat, there is no way to really describe it. Somehow you are up and at your machine WAY earlier than you ever make it when you are home….and you sew far into the night. There are always people there to give you an opinion on patterns/colors/quilt layouts (sometimes whether you want it or not :~), or to loan you any tools you may have missed bringing.

Other people are constantly cooking for you, so all you have to do is sew lots and enjoy yourself. There was lots and lots of laughter…and even a birthday celebration:

Our mascot re-appeared here and there and everywhere, surprising and making us smile every day:

And of course…tons of work got done, although it never feels like work:

We were in a new place….but even though it was a bit ‘’crunch-ier’’ in terms of room-to-sew than our last place…it had much to recommend it and we will be booking it again for next year.

I will be eternally grateful that my friends continue to be willing to make the 7 – 8 hour one-way trip to get together….here’s the crew:

This was our 12th Annual Retreat (yes Fiber Floozies, I read through my year end missives to confirm that number, so now I have it documented on our EXCEL spreadsheet!)….hopefully we have many, many more to go!

*** I leave my house a mess so that when friends visit, they go home feeling better about their own housekeeping skills. I'm just that good of a friend :~). ***
