We had a delightful Sunday breakfast on Tuesday morning (8/16):

Now it’s going to be hard to remember just what day it really is for the rest of the week, because I'll keep thinking it is Sunday :~).
After that I had to take a quilt from the to-be-bound pile, while the princess was resting:

so I pretended to be one of those magicians that yanks the tablecloth away, leaving all of the dishes and silverware…it worked pretty well!
I worked on adding the binding:

until Connie picked me up just before 1 PM for our monthly Fiber Nutz meeting.
We had a FABULOUS time together and talked about everything under the sun. Susan J, these next 2 videos are really all for you:
There were 6 of us at the meeting:
-Marilyn

-Melanie (hostess)

-Connie

-Pam (our fearless leader)

-Rosalie (co-founder)

and we discussed several things we might do in the future….next month we are going to lunch out in Waxhaw at a restaurant Rosale recommended, and at another future meeting Rosalie will teach these Asian looking ornaments:

and I may teach covering glass plates with fabric.
Melanie & Marilyn got into some riveting discussion for a lot of the afternoon:

And Melanie did a great job showing me what a beautiful display you can come up with, with just a handful of small flowers:

Connie brough me home before 5 PM and Michael and I had leftovers for dinner before he left for rehearsal and I continued to sew on my binding. I stitched down the label while watching TV and voila…another finished quilt (I think I did this top at QUAP this year):

Finally, a mannish looking quilt to be donated to the dialysis center.

quip was fun !
Hate having to do passwords!,,
Your quilt came out beautiful!! I think I am going to do that pattern again sometime, it looks completely different with the different colors you used.
Yup your quip gave me a giggle. It is so true. They start with roving to start spinning don't they?
Love the quip today!!! And the spinning videos were pretty cool
