Thank you to everyone who wrote to tell me how much they enjoyed the beginning of the last blog :~), and I also appreciate all of the AKA references you also sent: Dementia Don aka Tangerine Turd aka Mango Mussolini and someone's current favorite Shitler.

I spent Tuesday morning (1/21) mostly getting ready for my Fiber Nutz meeting…..I made deviled eggs and got my apricot bars cut and got everything set up:
-Diane - check out those cuts!!!

and my guests arrived at 1 PM:
-Marilyn is re-creating this picture in felt

We had some interesting show and tell:

-gifts that Lucie will be handing out when she is riding on a float in New Orleans for Mardi Gras

As always, it was a wonderful meeting and I was sorry to see everyone leave after 4 PM, although someone was still enjoying the fire:

We were expecting a lot of ice (and some snow) to be moving in around 6 PM, so Michael and Larry opted not to go to the movies, and instead, Michael made popcorn and settled in to watch IN THE HEAT OF THE NIGHT….an oldie but goodie, while I headed to the studio to finish quilting on Sandy’s quilt:
-it's hard to see on the quilt, so I thought I'd show you the design on the screen

I SKYPE’d with Janice on Wednesday (1/22) and the best part about it is….she and Dennis will be here on Friday!!!!!!! We are getting together to iron out some details about our River cruise to Paris in the fall.
After that, it was 2 hours of working on a blog entry, before dropping back to Sandy’s quilt to get it off of my frame and get the ends sewn in and get the whole quilt trimmed. Finally, it was time to get back to my Fiber Floozies project box. On top were a bunch of hourglass blocks:

that BG and I both did at the retreat. We were supposed to be making a disappearing hourglass blocks quilt, but after all of the work we already put into these blocks….we thought (at that time) we might just leave them as is. But with the passage of time I remembered just how much I LOVED the disappearing pattern I saw….and how long I waited to get to make it….and I think I’m going to do it after all!! BUT, I’m just going to do it as kind of a leaders/enders project….a few each day or only so many each week…and little by little it will get done.
Next up was a wheelchair quilt top:

and the binding for it is done as well! Then a men’s dialysis quilt (I'm teaching this at Thursday quilting sometime this year!):

which needed a good pressing before I got it labeled and into the ‘’tops’’ closet.
OH....and remember this quilt that I need binding for:

The fabric I ordered over the internet came in:

YIKES!!!! Not a match at all...I'll have to try again :~).

I had an absolutely wonderful time at quilting on Thursday (1/23)…I am LOVING our new extended hours!
I took 2 quilts to be trimmed and bound, and got one of them done for a TOTALLY FINISHED QUILT:

I have to tell you a funny story about the label…years ago, when my hands first started bothering me when I was hand stitching labels down, Paula suggested that I could just machine sew along the 2 sides. I TOTALLY rejected that suggestion…..I was VEHEMENTLY OPPOSED to it!!!!!! HEAVENS NO!!! Show 2 lines of stitching on the front....NEVER!!!! (Can you tell what's coming? Sometimes I'm a moron! :~)
Fast forward 3 – 4 years and I’m lying in bed thinking about the 2 quilts I just recently finished where I forgot to embroider the label on the front…and I said to myself ‘’you are now embroidering the entire label on the front of the quilt….are you still really against two, small, straight stitched lines on the front’’? Well, of course not…how stupid would that be….so voila:

Anyway, my time at quilting resulted in that quilt being totally finished....and I got the binding on 2 sides of the back on another Beds=Dreams quilt. I am determined to do several B+D quilts this year....stay tuned!
We also had just a bit of show and tell:

And 10 years ago....
*** I’m at the age where an ‘’all nighter’’ means I did not have to get up to pee. ***
*** I may not be Wonder Woman….but I can do things that make you wonder! ***
I always wondered myself about the 2 “lines” on the front from the label. I dint think any label police will arrest us, right? 🤣
Can't wait to see the disappearing hourglass quilt. Too bad the green fabric wasn't a match.
Love the quilt though ! What are the 'extended' hours for THursday quilting ? Will you be going to other cities as well as Paris ?
What ever happened to the nice restaurant we had here at sun city? Man, that was a lot of puffy things!
