Even thought it was overcast and gloomy and a little drizzle-y, Michael and Dennis headed out for golf Saturday morning (11/11).
Janice and I had a wonderfully relaxing morning, just talking and doing our computer stuff, before finally loading up her quilt:
The guys came home during that….kinda soaked…they got a rain check for the second 9. I decided I need to finish up the cast gifts…..I still have 2 towels to stitch out…
and ALL of the towels to clean up (I need to rip out the basting, and trim away the excess stabelizer and clean up the threads):
on both the back AND the front:
so I got started on that.
Paula and Jody (her sister) stopped by for a visit:
-a consultation with Paula
-sister Jody
You know...I wrote those sentences as though I had anything to do with Janice's quilt....I DID NOT!!! She did the entire thing herself...with no help from me...and even got herself out of an error she had never seen before....again with no help from me. She is FULLY trained on XENA!!!!!!
We had leftover pot pie and slaw for dinner before picking up Susan and heading out to Michael’s play.
I don't even have the words to tell you how much we all liked the play....but suffice it to say.....I'm seeing it again next Friday night!!
-the cast all went out for snacks after the performance

We didn’t get to bed until 1 AM Saturday night/Sunday morning (11/12), so needless to say, other than making some peanut butter cookies for Michael to take in to the case:
once Janice and Dennis:
left for home around NOON, and my honey left for his matinee around 1 PM, I took a nap!!!
After that I just knit until my honey came home for champagne:
and puffy things:
and binge watching several episodes of THE IRRATIONAL before bed. Is anyone else out there watching this show? It is based on the book PREDICTABLY IRRATIONAL by Dan Ariely, and I got it out from the library to read. It was a FACINATING book!!! I guess he’s a behavioral specialist and what I found most fascinating was the experiments he designed to prove his theories.
And another 10 years ago today! https://foodandfiberfloozie.blogspot.com/2013/11/charity-hats-elsie-cookie-duex-new.html
*** I tried to come up with a carpentry pun that woodwork. I thought I nailed it but nobody saw it. ***
*** Then there was the time Fruit of the Loom took Hanes to court... It was a brief case. ***
Looks like a lovely visit with Janice & it was also so nice to see the cast actually enjoying theirselves too What a treat for me to see the blog from 10 years ago…I’m such a newbie!!
I love Janice's quilt colors and the quilt pattern looks so good with it! The peanut butter cookies looked pretty good too!
