We were up and back at XENA Friday morning (6/16) to get Janice’s second quilt loaded (I don't know why I said ''we'', as Janice is doing ALL OF THE WORK on these quilts!):
She worked on quilting all day:
Just leaving an inch or 2 between the first quilt and the second....
and not only did she manage to finish it….she got both quilts off of XENA, and proceeded to load up a 3rd one after dinner:
I was on a QoV mission all day. I have 4 completed quilts to donate to Scrap Happy if we need them for our Veteran’s Day luncheon in November, but I also have 4 QoV tops in my to-be-quilted closet. A former member of SHQ belongs to a small group of quilters that make quilts for a nearby town (Waxhaw) and they will accept finished quilts or tops as part of their efforts to get quilts into the hands of veterans, so I decided to donate those tops to that effort. Here are the tops I will be donating:
and I spent the day making binding for those tops:
So Michael spent the afternoon and evening watching the PGA tournament on TV, while Janice and I spent it downstairs…quilting away…..sounds like a heavenly day for everyone!
*** I’m not trying to make waves here, but in my opinion…DOVE chocolate tastes way better than their soap. ***
Lifebuoy soap taste best!
So productive!
Beautiful QofV quilts!
