Killer Pecan Sticky Buns baked, Texas Sheet Cake

Additionally, about 12,000 to 50,000 Americans lose their lives to flu every year. The best way to avoid another devastating season, doctors say, is to get vaccinated for both.

I was up early on Tuesday (9/21) to get the Pecan Sticky Buns out of the fridge for an hour to take the chill off of them before baking. As usual, they looked spectacular coming out of the oven (we made them in 2 separate pans because it is SO MUCH EASIER to flip them than to flip a 13'' by 9'' casserole):

Michael headed over to ALDI’s to buy more baking supplies (mostly chocolate....I will DEFINITELY be making the mud cake again!!), while Inez and I got all cleaned up from the sticky buns before heading out to the Fiber Nutz meeting:

We only stayed for about an hour, as we were anxious to get home to put together a Texas sheet cake:

This was not as successful looking as it might have been, since our oven is NOT level….but I sent a bunch of pieces with Michael to the Fort Mill Playhouse for their first read through of the play….and apparently it tasted just fine!

Inez had bought tickets for another show that she watched on her computer, while I headed to the studio to do.......exactly nothing! Oh well….it’s ok to just goof off now and again…right?
