Michael was up and out Saturday morning (10/26) for a 9 AM tee time, while I headed to the studio to tackle a monster….Darlene brought me a 98’’ by 98’’ quilt ….I’m not sure I’ve ever done one that large….so it’s going to be interesting :~).
It took me a long time to even get set up to start:
But finally it was on the frame and I got bobbins wound and the program set up and kicked everything off. I’m keeping a close eye on this one as I’ve had small problems with the backing on large quilts in the past…but so far everything seems to be working out.
Michael and I had a salad from Zaxby’s for dinner, then picked up Pam R and Pam S and headed to Waxhaw for The Storefront Theatre. Pam kindly took pictures for me in the museum:
-historical volumes about the war between the states....which is what Pam called it...which surprised me since Pam is southern....and Ginny (another southern friend in Virginia) ALWAYS called it ''the war of Nortern agression''!
-prominent figures from South Carolina
-arrowhead collection
before we settled in for the plays. This time it was 2 one-act plays and I think everyone enjoyed them. We were home by 10 PM and watched TV until almost mid-night before bed.

It was back to the grindstone on Sunday (10/27), hoping to bang out a large portion of the quilting on this ginormous quilt:
I continued to work on my disappearing 9 patch class while it was stitching out:
I had gotten Sausage Soup in the crockpot in the morning, so that was dinner:
along with another wonderful loaf of Artisan bread:
We finally got a chance to start watching RIDLEY on PBS.

Michael headed out for golf on Monday (10/28) and I headed to the studio to try to knock out a lot of quilting on my customer quilt…..it took all day, but by a late dinner, the quilting was finished:
And 10 years ago ...
*** These days...."One for the road" means peeing before you leave the house. ***
*** I can't believe I forgot to go to the gym today. That's seven years in a row, now. ***
Love the colors in the quilt.
