Last swirly Xmas tree, Indian food, Michael ''find the differences'' pictures

I guess all of the visitors on Monday wore Freya out, because she slept in her crate from 10:30 PM to almost 7 AM without a peep….hooray!!! That was the good news…the bad news is that whatever intestinal bug my honey had on Sunday…..as of this morning (Tuesday, 8/22), I now have :~(. I don’t have a fever, and am not achy…but let’s just say I’d like to stick close to a bathroom all of the time :~(.

Karen Shelnut (our insurance agent) has done a lot for us over the years….especially in the early years when I was having monthly teas (what has happened to me…I used to do them MONTHLY…and now I’m lucky I can pull together a Christmas Tea once a year??!), and she was the 4th person who was in love with the swirling Christmas Tree, so on Tuesday morning (8/22) we headed up to her office to deliver her ‘’tree’’:

Again…it was the same ‘’gasp worthy’’ moment that our dear friends gave us on Monday :~).

Once we got home, I got a 2 day blog out (which took over 2 hours!) and was done in time to be picked up by Pam & Rosalie for a lunch out. We went to the Indian Fusion restaurant in the Publix shopping center and it was EXCELLENT!!!

We all got the lunch special which consists of 2 samosas (yes, I was already chowing down on one before I thought to take a pic!):

-a choice of entree....Rosalie and I got the chicken tikka masala

-and Pam got curried veggies

and yummy buttered naan and dessert.

I was home (with leftovers) by 2:30, and got Freya out of her crate as Michael had had to leave for a physical therapy appointment before I got home. I stayed in the living room most of the rest of the day reading, and when Michael came home, he read as well. The most exciting thing to happen was at 4 PM…when Freya had been playing with some toys…and then walked over and stood at the door. Michael immediately took her out….and she POOPED!!!! We’re still working on getting her to ring the bell….but HOORAY…..it seems like she’s getting the idea (and this is what our life has come to….being excited that our dog walks to the door :~).

After that I finally felt like I had a bit of energy, so I headed downstairs to load up the backing on Marcia’s quilt. I got one side put on and decided to call it good and join my honey (and my newest baby) upstairs for the rest of the evening.

And for those of you who are fans of Michael's ''hidden pictures'' drawings...he has a new challenge for you.....drawings he sent to AJ, but they are ''find the differences'' drawings. There are SIX color differences...and TWENTY-THREE other differences....have fun:

*** MMR – Michael’s Movie Reviews ***

Sound of Freedom is another based on a true story picture that you know going in will not make you feel super great at the end. Jim Caveisel plays a homeland security agent tasked to find on line pedophiles and purveyors of child porn. He is one of those types that takes his job really seriously. At one point he runs across a sleazy character that connects him to a child abduction ring out of Columbia. He becomes so involved with hunting down this group that he leaves his family and job (because his boss won’t allow him to do so, budget constraints) and goes to Columbia on his own to find the sister of a boy who he has already rescued. With the help of locals he sets out on this monumental task. Lots of tension and detective work ensue. At the end of the movie you have Jim talking to the audience about this horrible child slavery issue. These 6 to 12 year olds are stolen and put into sex work. It’s a one and a half billion dollar business. There are more people sold into slavery today then when slavery was “legal”. And get this, this movie was made in 2019 but powers that be stopped its release until this year. What does that tell you—-think about it. A must see.
