Linen closet done, bedroom shelves done, FPF quilt almost all laid out

It has been absolutely lovely to spend several hours on the lanair each morning…..and it was the same on Sunday (8/25).  One funny thing did happen when I was out there the other day…the crickets (or the cicadas?) are always making noise….but suddenly it grew to a huge crescendo…and then all at once….STOPPED!  I was expecting Sasquatch to step out (you know how they get quiet when someone/something gets near)….but nothing happened and after about 10 seconds, they started up again.  Anyway, eventually I got back to the studio and started sewing on my FPF quilt…that took the rest of the afternoon:

I just LOVE it!!!!!

I had another salad for dinner, and knit while watching TV in the evening.  Freya seems to be sticking much closer to me than she usually does….probably worried that I’ll disappear too…just like her dad:

It got up to the 90’s on Sunday, so I turned on the air conditioning for the first time since Wednesday night. Before I went to bed it was down to the 70’s, so I opened up the house.  It was beautiful and in the 60’s when I got up on Monday (8/26), so it was relaxing and sipping tea on the lanair once again in the morning.

I finished up the linen closet…but it also got an infusion of new stuff…..here’s what it looked like in the beginning:

Once everything was washed and in the donation pile, here’s all that went back into the closet:

Donations included 3 sets of sheets/pillowcases, numerous towels and numerous extra pillow cases.  One set of sheets went to the guest room closet...since that's where the queen sized bed now resides.

I decided next up desperately needing organization was my walk-in closet shelves once again:

Part of the problem is…there’s just too much stuff for these shelves….so extra pillows and Michael’s winter quilt, and our kit bags got moved to the linen closet, which now looks like this:

I think that will still be easy-peasy to maintain.

And my bed/staging area now looks like this (hello Mary Jo :~):

By the time I got to this point, I didn’t want to face it anymore….so I headed to the studio….la…la….tomorrow is another day  :~). I got a bit more sewing done:

before settling in, in the evening with lots of knitting.

It cooled down overnight, so I was able to sit out on the lanair again on Tuesday morning (8/27).  I got all of the stuff on the bed sorted between ‘’keep’’ and ‘‘donation’’ and got 3 loads of laundry done on all of the donation stuff, along with our bed sheets (and my Christmas napkins for a second wash....I think they're good now):

After that I put together bread dough and got it baked:

and delivered some to one of our neighbors….and also made the last of the white chocolate macadamia nut cookies…and some chocolate chip cookies for Michael.  I’ll be going to Janice’s on Thursday….so I wanted to make sure my honey was supplied :~).

By then Michael was home and we talked and talked and talked while he got everything unpacked.  He packed up the white chocolate cookies for delivery to Ed, and stayed to tell him all about the trip.  They are talking about taking one together in the spring…maybe with 2 other guys.

By the time he got home around 5 PM, he was exhausted, and took a little nap while I got my ‘’keep’’ pile all folded and back on my shelves:

I know it looks messy with the scarves hanging down, but just like the linen closet...there's lots of empty space.

And 10 years ago....

-and I'm totally re-making the recipe talked about in this one...I totally forgot about it!!! https://foodandfiberfloozie.blogspot.com/2014/08/michaeland-i-had-lovely-breakfast-on.html

*** I hate it when people ask me if I did anything exciting over the weekend….. like…I’m over here skydiving!

I’m old….I went to Walmart…did some laundry….ate too much and took a nap! ***
