Maury & Marcia

I was up early for a busy Friday (8/5). First up was getting to the library with some donations and to pick up a new book, then I headed to my hairdressers to get my hair cut and colored.

Janice and I never got to SKYPE on Wednesday, so I gave her a call and we had our usual SKYPE-ing session...she's in Connecticut right now, on the way to Maine for their vacation.

I headed across the street for a massage after that, then Pat came for a visit and to tell me some sad news. Her daughter Lisa is having a few health problems, and part of the solution will mean that Pat will not be able to attend our Fiber Floozie retreat in November :~(. Please add Pat & Lisa to your prayer list as there are some very challenging times ahead for the whole family.

Michael and I got cleaned up after Pat’s visit and headed on over to Maury & Marcia’s:

for dinner. They made sloppy joes (yum!), corn, potato salad and chips for dinner, and we played games after that….Janice, you will never in a million years believe the coincidence of what we played:

We had had a discussion earlier in the evening about how we all eat certain things…and true to form, here’s how Maury eats his brownies:

The middle first, and saving the edges (the best part) for last! We had a wonderful time visiting; they have traveled extensively and have wonderful, funny and interesting stories, which they tell well! When we got home, I spent time icing my leg before bed.
