Mehetabel, totally finished religious quilt, borders on diagonal patriotic

Darn it! I was in a hurry to get out Tuesday’s blog, so I missed a few things yesterday…Pam has a new rescue cat named Mehetabel (you know….from the Bible) and she was so funny while we were there making ornaments. I took a few still pictures of her (although she is NEVER still):

Then 2 movies because she is just too funny. In the first one, she is playing with a sponge….Pam said she has recently become enamored with it:

Then Pam mentioned that she used to have water bowls down for the kitty to drink out of, but she kept drinking out of the glasses and pitchers where Pam was rooting plants, so now Pam just keeps a glass of water for her to drink out of:

Wednesday morning (11/16) was spent SKYPE-ing with Janice, before finishing up the first religious quilt…so here you have it…a TOTALLY FINISHED QUILT:

After that I started working on Diagonal Patriotic:

the pattern Janice made, that I loved, and put together on retreat. Thanks to talking it over with Janice, I did a skinny inner border:

Then a wider white outer border:

And I plan to bind it in dark blue.

While I was working in the afternoon, my thread was finally delivered. No wonder they would not tell me how they shipped it, or give me a tracking number. It was not shipped until last Saturday….a full week after I paid for it, and not when they told me it would go out :~(. I will not be anxious to order from them again, but at least it is here and I can finish off Linda’s quilt. I worked on that until after Michael left for a golf meeting around 5:30…and by 6:30 the quilting was done:

Michael was still at his meeting, so I got a bunch of fabric cut for bindings, with my princess snoozing on the quilts:

and finally headed upstairs around 8 PM.
