When I get up in the morning, most of the time I grab my KINDLE and sit in the living room and read my emails…and Ethel invariably comes to join me…usually crawling all over me to get love and hugs, but eventually settling down on the stool where my legs are…so here we are Thursday morning (12/29):
Of course, when Cookie finally appears (we take her out first thing in the morning, and when she comes in, she IMMEIDATELY heads for the bed and snuggles under the covers for awhile...whether or not there's anyone else still there or not!) she heads for the fire:
It was so nice in the living room that Michael decided to eat his breakfast there as well:
My goal today is to get the 2 lavender quilts bound, so I got my blog out early, cleared off the kitchen table, got set up and started:
By the time Michael got home from his errands (library, CVS, Dollar Tree, Harris Teeter), I had the binding on the first side of both quilts…I put away the groceries and then got a call from Anne. She is SO SWEET! She’s been puppy sitting the cutest dog and brought her by for a visit:
Lily has the silkiest ears…and was so friendly…even Cookie got along with her :~).
After Anne left, it was back to binding on the front side....although it's awfully hard when you have an interested kitty:
but by 5 PM, they were done. I just have to get the labels sewn down and they will be totally finished. While I was sewing upstairs, my honey was laying out my 4 patch blocks downstairs:
Michael and I left at 5 PM for a CarolinaHoliday Light Extravaganza in Ballentyne, and it was AWESOME:
-it's hard to tell the scale on these, but they were huge!
We paid for VIP tickets, which had several perks including a heated bathroom :~):
We had a wonderful time, and good food and were home by 8 PM to settle in with the semi-final of HOLIDAY BAKING CHAMPIONSHIP.
*** Being a little older, I am very fortunate to have someone call and check on me everyday….he is from India and is very concerned about my car warranty. ***
Oh what a night!😍
