Michael headed out for golf before 8 AM on Saturday (7/17), while I spent a bit of time in the morning making these cute waffles for breakfast (they're about 3-1/2'' across):
When I do egg/cheese/toast, these will be the toast!
After that I made the mistake of starting a new e-book, which kept me enthralled until 11 AM when I forced myself to put it down! I headed downstairs and got the batting put on XENA, then once again lazed around doing nothing! I swear, if my energy doesn’t come back soon I will SCREAM!!
Michael only played 9 holes (with a score of 40 and the start of another birdie streak) before coming home to pick some produce:
and then get cleaned up for a memorial service in the afternoon. Our across the street neighbor, Anne, died earlier this year, and her hubby Bryce had a lovely memorial service at a local church. We saw a lot of friends we haven’t seen in forever and enjoyed telling stories about Anne to her children. We were home by 5 PM (after a stop at Bo Jangles for mac ‘n’ cheese and a chicken sandwich which we split for dinner) and Michael settled in to watch the 3rd round of golf.
And remember the 3rd dragonfly that BG and I worked on while she was here?
Well, it has been sold to a former student of Michael’s! Michael posted pictures 2 years ago when BG and I were working on ours…and she fell in love with it and asked if we would consider making another. Well, we were already making 3 at once, so I told her about that, but warned that it would be quite some time because we only worked on it when we were together…..and we only got together once a year. Then COVID happened and it turned into 2 years…but we finally finished it, and when I contacted the student, she was THRILLED and still interested in purchasing. The other great news is…we don’t even have to ship it…BG hand stitched the binding, and she took it home to Connecticut to do that…Michael’s student still lives in CT, so she and BG will connect for delivery and payment.
Are there any Chesapeake Shores fans out there? I thought this HALLMARK series was over as it’s been so long since it was on, but it will be back on August15th…..don’t miss it!
