My quilt top finished, BG show & tell

My honey was up and out on Monday (2/28) for golfing here at SCCL, while I headed to my studio. I got my customer quilt all cleaned up and off of the frame, before heading back upstairs for breakfast. Unfortunately, I got sucked into a library book while eating breakfast, so didn’t make it back downstairs until after NOON.

I worked in the afternoon on getting the final border on my quilt top:

I used every bit of my focus fabric….I had half an inch left when I was done! Guess I'll have to bind it with the purple...as the green is all gone as well.

I got the back loaded for a new customer quilt…which is HUGE!!! It’s definitely going to take awhile to baste and quilt. After that I pulled out the center of a quilt top I completed at SHQ last week:

This is called a ''potato chip'' quilt...it just uses 2 colors. I still need to put 2 borders on it and then get a binding made....I'm hoping to get it all cut, and work on sewing it at quilting this week. My honey eventually made it home from a muddy round of golf...his birdie streak is up to 2!

He made pierogis for dinner and we polished off the last of our Olympic tapings in the evening.
