Michael left for golf by 9 AM on Wednesday (11/13) while I SKYPE’d with Janice (who will be here tomorrow!!!!) until 10.
Matt came by after that to set up our new computers (WINDOWS will no longer be supporting WINDOWS 10…and our old computers will not run WINDOWS 11….hence new computers):
When I was SKYPE-ing with Janice, I told her I had another quilt to do on XENA, but that she shouldn’t worry as I had plenty of time to get it done before she came to do the 2 quilts she was bringing….of course I didn’t factor in that my longarm machine would be incapacitated for 7 hours while it was trying to do all of the updates for the last 5 years and get to WINDOWS 11!!!!!!! The updates weren’t finished until 7 PM…and I finished the last 2 rows on the first quilt…but was too tired to do anything else for the evening:

Thursday (11/14) was quilting and I’m not sure why but it was a really wonderful time!!! Maybe because I got so little sewing done (I just made one binding):
but spent most of the time talking to lots of people. We had 1 long time member tell us that she was dropping out, and that was sad…but the rest of the day was so much fun….check this out:
We had great show & Tell:
-Susie finished her bowl from the rope bowl class...and it was PERFECT!!!
And I have to show you the funniest thing....while I was at quilting, Michael was digging out our fiber optic tree and box of ornaments that we have decided to donate.....so he put the tree bag in the front hall and walked away for about 5 seconds...when he came back:
Anything new always has to be investigated and sat upon...and eventually everyone shows up to check it out!!
When I got home from quilting , I hurriedly got the second quilt loaded on XENA:
and was frantically longarmming until Janice showed up around 5 PM. I got the quilt finished:
and we got to sit around and talk for a long time, while Janice made a special friend:
Michael & Freya headed up to the dog park for a bit:
We had leftovers for dinner (Janice decided on sausage soup, while I finished off Michael’s last piece of pizza) then she got the back to her first quilt loaded up before we retired to relaxing in the living room.

Friday morning (11/15) Janice got her quilt top loaded:
and the program set up before we headed to the Lake House to pick up Loree and to go out to lunch at the Thai place:
As always, our meals were wonderful, and we got right back to work when we got home.
I spent the afternoon working on the QoV, which (if I may say so myself) is coming along beautifully:
-for these next 2 borders, I am using Diane's suggestion to NOT alternate my red and blue 4 patches, but instead to have one border of red, and one border of blue....you'll see...she was right...it really does calm it down!
And Janice was quilting away on her quilt:
while simultaneously cleaning off the pool table of my stuff (remember that video?)
My honey took off for a murder mystery gig around 6 PM:
and we finished up for the day:
Janice already has a ''customer'' for this quilt....a neighbor/friend who went absolutely crazy when they saw some of the patches in it:
Yes....that's KISS!!
Janice and I spent the evening watching the UCONN ladies beat North Carolina in basketball.

*** Some people try to turn back their odometers….not me!! I want people to know why I look this way….I’ve traveled a long way, and some of the roads weren’t paved. ***
*** I love bacon. Sometimes I eat it twice a day. It takes my mind off the terrible chest pains I keep getting. ***
I like the separate red and blue borders
June,s quilt ——- FANTASTIC!
