Michael was up and out at o’dark hundred on Monday (10/25), (yes, he had to use the headlights on the golf cart to get to the golf course!) for an early morning shotgun start. I think I’m still having my post retreat let-down and didn’t get going until 8 AM. I spent a lot of time on a soap website BG told me about. Michael and I don’t have enough soap to get us through the winter…hence the digging out of one of my oils yesterday. I am out of some color and some scent, so I put in an order, and spent a good bit of time reading the soap blog...lots of great information there!
I jumped up at 10 AM and headed to the Lodge to buy raffle tickets to support the local animal shelter, and to give blood. Well, I tried to give blood, but for the first time in my life…my iron was too low….way too low :~(. Guess that’s why I’m sometimes very tired. But the neatest thing was…they don’t prick your finger anymore to check your iron…they just wrap this contraption around your thumb…..too cool! When I failed the first time, she wrapped my thumb in one of those warming things that Michael sometimes buys in the winter for inside his golfing mittens….unfortunately, my iron read even lower after that!!
I hit the bank after that, and when I turned to come home I saw the most beautiful rainbow:
I know....you can just barely see it to the right of that red tree, kinda center...but it was really pretty in person. I decided I needed some meat in my breakfast (maybe get my iron back up), so I headed to WENDY’s. They had already stopped serving breakfast, so I decided to try BOJANGLES….I passed a car on fire at QT, but BOJANGLES had 8 cars in the drive through, so I just gave up and headed home to an egg/cheese/toast. Michael came home while I was making it and said he could really feel that he hasn’t played golf in 10 days…new muscles were being activated!
I had time to sew a border on one side of a Beds=Dreams quilt before heading out to get my haircut. I told Lisa she could do whatever she wanted, and here it is (she's photo bombing in the background):
I rushed home after that and changed my clothes to head out to martini group. My honey was so impressed with my hair, he wanted another pic:
I had a fun time at Andie’s house:
-Barb and hostess Andie
-me and Pat
-Ellie and Alice (who's been MIA for quite a while...it was wonderful to see her)
=Bonnie & Joyce (with a new pretty blond hairdo)
She had lots of good food too:
Along with lemon meringue pie martinis:
I got home just in time for Michael to hop in the car and head out to rehearsal.
Paula came down shortly afterwards and we got through not one but TWO ‘’THE BIG LEAPs’’….so we are definitely getting better about the no talking while watching :~).
*** I’m super lazy today. It’s like normal lazy…but I’m wearing a cape. ***
Love your hair!
