I was up and down a lot on Tuesday (11/29)…I got my blog out (down), then headed back (up) to the kitchen to finish the binding on my blue ‘’charms on point’’:
After that Michael came out to the kitchen (where I sew my bindings) for breakfast, so I headed to the studio (down) to work a bit more on Sandy’s quilt. While I was quilting:
I finished up the 5 remaining red blocks I needed for the new QoV:
I don’t think I like the uneven number of columns….it just looks weird to me on the right…what do you think? My honey came down just after I finished, and I asked him to look at it….he said why don’t you just do the other layout…and proceeded to re-arrange all of the blocks:
MUCH BETTER!!! He’s a genius :~)! I really didn’t want to make more blocks because the pattern worked out perfectly with the number of strips I had originally cut.
He and Cookie headed out for a walk after that, and I finished quilting Sandy’s quilt:
That meant I went back (up)stairs to start the day’s candy production…..cracker toffee. I made 3 runs:
and left it in the fridge to set up while returning (down) to the studio to clean up Sandy’s quilt and get it off the frame.
Michael left at 6 PM for the movies, and I got a label stitched down (up) on the blue ''charms on point''...so another totally finished quilt:
I knit the rest of the evening away while watching MIDSOMER MURDERS.
*** HOW TO PREPARE TOFU
Step 1 – throw it in the trash!
Step 2 – fry up some BACON
(PS – this works for kale too!) ***
I thought original layout looked weird too! Love the new that Michael created
I like the quilting on your blue quilt too. It enhances the blocks and it doesn't look so white??
I really like the quilt pattern you did for the blues on point. Matches the squares perfectly!
What a big brain he has!
