It has been roughly a year and five months of nonstop chaos, instability, and cruelty. (Heather Delaney Reese)
In a deranged Truth Social rant, Donald Trump upped the ante on his raging megalomania, proclaiming himself the “Number One Attraction anywhere in the World” suggesting he just might ditch musical artists for an upcoming Wednesday event and insert himself as the main attraction. Who needs them?
“I understand Artists are getting ‘the yips’… so I am thinking about bringing the man who gets much larger audiences than Elvis in his prime… the Greatest President in History (THE GOAT!), DONALD J. TRUMP, to take the place of these highly paid, Third Rate ‘Artists’…”
Third Rate Artists that he, himself, invited!! And his supporters still believe this stuff???? That tells me a lot more about them than it does him...

I worked on the One Block Wonder on Monday (5/25) and finally finished up the quilting in the early afternoon. My honey joined me after his golf outing (they played 12 holes) and started to lay out a QoV for me….I made all of the blocks at QUAP last month, but didn’t sew them together as I knew I would want to lay out on my design wall and move them around:

AND….I’ve been sewing together my new HST blocks, and finally got them all into rows:

I had company in the afternoon….as soon as I start putting quilts on the to-be-bound pile….Lucy starts to nap there again (you know….the Princess and the Pea syndrome!):

I had a chicken sandwich while Michael had a hot dog from the Tailgators for dinner (they were cooking for Memorial Day), and we finished that up with corn on the cob for dessert :~).

I spent Tuesday morning (5/26) getting the ends woven in on the OBW quilt, and getting it trimmed and onto the to-be-bound pile. One more quilt and I will dig out my binding machine and get them all done at once (well…I say at once, but it will be over the course of a week or so).
I have labels and binding done for the 1st two:

and will be working on a label and binding for the OBW.
I picked up Karen shortly after NOON and we headed down 521 for the Fiber Nutz meeting. Karen was teaching a felting class…..

I took my knitting and just observed:

Everyone who was there finished their bunny:
-Carol

-Karen, our teacher

-Melanie

-Terri

-Rosalie

except for Julia who had to leave very early for a prior commitment.
We were home by 4 PM, and Michael left for the movies at 5:30 and I headed back to the studio for just a bit of sewing before heading back upstairs for TV watching and fabric re-claiming. I am re-claiming the backing fabric for the 3 quilts I have recently finished.

I had a relaxing day on Wednesday (5/27). I video chatted with Janice in the morning, then headed upstairs to make a breakfast casserole I have been wanting to make for WEEKS! I only got part way through it when Paula came by to drop off a quilt and have a long chat. After that I continued with the casserole…layering asparagus/cheese/onions:

and then covering it all with a dozen eggs/cottage cheese/milk. I baked it for around 40 minutes at 350 degrees, and finally had my breakfast at 2 PM:

Michael came home from golf shortly afterwards….extremely tired after a cart path only round. I decided to settle in to the living room after that and continued to read the book loaned to me by dear friend Connie, THE CORRESPONDENT. I’m so glad she did, as otherwise I was 287th on the list to get it from the library!
My honey headed to the kitchen around 5 PM to start his halushki’s...I told him he either had to make them tonight, or after Saturday night as I didn’t want the cooked cabbage smell to be permeating the house when we have company on Saturday night :~).
After dinner we ended up walking to a neighbor's house....on Tuesday night I had seen a baby deer crossing our backyard.....too fast to get a video. The baby ended up in our neighbor's front garden:

You cannot really get a real sense of just how tiny he was because I had nothing for scale, but Michael indicated he would be lucky to be 10 pounds....just itty bitty. Luckily, one of our other neighbors has a friend who runs a wild life rescue and was going to bring him to that.
And 10 years ago....
*** Got all my cardio in this morning when I walked into a spider web. ***
*** A wasp landed on my bare foot and now I know how to Riverdance. ***
*** Apparently, exercise helps you with decision making. It really works too because I went for a run this morning and decided I'm never doing that again! ***

Your cute sayings at the end are as cute as advertised Deb, I smile at every one of them!
Omg! That tiny baby deer! Only a couple weeks old from the looks of its spots.
