New quilt layout, Strawberries, Fiber Nutz road trip

Michael got quilt blocks laid out for me Tuesday morning (3/21). These are from a recently finished Thursday project:

before leaving for Triple A to continue to plan our cruise in July.

ANNOUNCEMENT: He stopped at Ivy Place on the way home and got this:

So…..they’re already out!!!!

I spent the morning starting to sew rows together for the on-point QoV, before leaving just before 11 AM for lunch out with the Fiber Nutz group. We went to THE CAKE LADY:

in Fort Lawn…and lunch was AWESOME! There were 7 of us:

-Rosalie & Pam

-Marilyn & Meredith

-Christina & Marissa, 2 new ladies that seem like they are going to fit in perfectly!!!

Christina brought along a tiny bit of show & tell....objects she will be adding to a wall hanging:

and there were gorgeous fresh flowers on every table...so very pretty:

We all had lunch and then yummy cupcakes:

Then it was off to the craft/basket weaving place where several people bought some lovely things.

I was home by 3 PM and worked on getting my blog entry out, which took about an hour. I finished up just in time to get a call from the vet…get this…..they lost Cookie's blood sample :~(. Are you kidding me!?!??! So, back to the vet’s I go, tomorrow morning at 8 AM.

I went back to my QoV and got all of the rows sewn together, then got the small inner binding made and applied:

I’m going to wait until Susie visits tomorrow to get her take on how big the 2nd border should be.

Michael didn’t end up going to the movies, so he got a FREE movie from REDBOX….A MAN CALLED OTTO with Tom Hanks. Truly, we both believe that Tom Hanks can play ANYTHING and make it great! I read the book (A MAN CALLED OVE) and loved it…and the movie was EXCELLENT. We had a bit of popcorn and loved on our furry baby all night! Actually, she showed a small sign of turning a corner and we are crossing our fingers and praying that we are right.

*** Friends were doing home renovations and…incredibly…when they knocked down a wall, they found a secret, fully furnished room!!!

And then they remembered…they live in a duplex… ***
