We were up early New Year’s Day (1/1/24) to get everything ready for our guests:
-all of the additions to the egg casserole
who started to show up at 10 AM. I think we got pictures of most of them....although I was distressed at just how many friends are sick this year (and graciously stayed home) and many of them have been sick for WEEKS :~(:

-Paula
-Gale & Phil
-Sue & Dennis
-Carol & Ed
-Doug
-Kay & Pete

-Sue, Dennis, Gale, Phil, Laura
We had tons of fabulous food…and lots of wonderful conversations, and I think everyone started the new year in a great frame of mind.
After cleaning up (it took 2 full runs of the dishwasher....but eventually everything was done), Michael and I read for awhile (and I may have napped :~), before he headed outside to play with Freya, and I headed to the studio to sew a bit. I’m working on some blocks that I started at the Fiber Floozie retreat…..currently on the design wall and slowly being sewn together. Michael and I were still full from the brunch, so we really didn’t have dinner and just watched some regular TV in the evening.
A blast from the past for New Year’s Day - https://foodandfiberfloozie.blogspot.com/2014/01/whenmichael-and-i-moved-to-south.html
*** It blows my mind that NASA is able to receive data from 4.67 BILLION miles away, but I lose the WI-FI signal in my kitchen. ***
