NEW YEAR’S EVE – we slept in before my honey cooked up some extra thick bacon on Sunday morning (12/31) as part of a smurfy breakfast, while two of our babies were basking away:
We spent a bit of time after that getting the house redd up and some food partially made….we are having a brunch on Monday….and going out Sunday night…..so we had to get a bunch of stuff done early. I set the clock on the stove for 90 minutes….and we were OFF!!! Just like all of the cooking shows we watch :~).
-Freya watching dad clean up his table
Michael and Freya went for a walk in the afternoon, after which we got dolled up and headed out to TRIO’s for dinner:
-me, Tim, Dixie, Dave, Margie, Carol, Ann
-Gerry, Carol, Candyce, Ralph, Ed, Carol
I had the lobster ravioli:
While Michael had shrimp and scallops:
We shared the French Silk Pie for dessert:
Yes....we forgot to take a pic until we were all done :~)
We had a wonderful time with all of the 14 people that were there….seems like we haven’t been together in months, and we all had a lot to talk about. Michael and I were home by 10 PM and read in the living room, in front of the fire…it was heaven!
And a blast from the past…when we used to be young (er) and have a New Year’s Eve party! https://foodandfiberfloozie.blogspot.com/2014/01/holiday-oreos-hamcheese-roll-ups-cookie.html
*** I finally figured out what I want to be when I get older…..younger! ***
