Michael was up at o’dark hundred on Saturday (10/30), and left the house before 8 AM for golf. I was still draggin’ and it took me awhile to get going, but eventually I decided I just had to stop procrastinating about it and pick a pattern and thread color for the bargello rainbow, otherwise it was just going to sit there! I got my pattern all set up….and my bobbins wound and kicked it off. And my thread broke…and my thread broke….and my thread broke. I had 5 thread breaks in the first 2 rows. I finally changed out my needle and my thread broke…..I posted on my FB group….did all of the suggestions…and my thread still broke :~(. It’s almost 5 PM now and I have another solution….I’m starting to drink! That way, when my thread breaks….I won’t care as much :~). But, why does it happen like that? It takes all of your will power to get going on something…and then it doesn’t wanna work?
Michael had a late lunch….and I had a bowl of fruit around 4 PM, so neither of us was interested in dinner….I finally headed upstairs around 6:30 after completing only 4 rows on the quilt. I am definitely NOT looking forward to sewing in all of those ends. I did manage to get 2 sections of row 3 on the HST quilt sewn together:
and then final section laid out correctly:
When Michael came upstairs, he made a bowl of popcorn and we had date night…..heaven….just snuggling on the couch watching ‘’our’’ shows…..

Where is my share of that 5 pounds!!!
Thread breaks are so frustrating and can be tricky to diagnose! I saw your FB post and saw you were using the Innova thread which always runs nicely. Hope today is better!!!
I hope you got your thread breaking issue resolved. Not sure but if you have a "round needle" no flat side, that maybe it is tweaked just a bit off center. That can make a huge difference.
