Michael was up at 7 on Monday (3/6) for golf here at SCCL, but he had a bit of a later tee time, so had time to make me my usual egg/cheese/toast for breakfast…but instead of spinach, there’s yummy asparagus under that egg (thx Susie!!):
The rest of the day was all about the OBW…I started with this:
And other than a lovely and long conversation with Mary Lee, continued sewing:
I finally got to this point by mid-afternoon:
and I paused. I could feel myself getting stressed because I was thinking about all I had to get done….so what makes me unstressed? Making a list and prioritizing everything on it. I spent about half an hour doing that before re-contemplating my OBW. With the point I was at on it, I had cleared at least 60’’ on my design wall, and that’s what I need for my time sensitive project…so I set aside the OBW and started working on that new project. The unfortunate news for all of you is that it is a:
Or maybe not so unfortunate. Normally things are a:
because they are being made for someone who is reading the blog….so is it for you? Or maybe you??? Guess you’ll just have to wait and find out! Don’t worry, I’ll take pictures along the way, so you’ll get to see the evolution once it is all done.
We had leftovers once again for dinner (the fridge is still FULL, but I'm not complaining....since I don't have to cook!!) and Michael watched another UCONN game until 9 PM…they are the BIG EAST champs…WHOO HOO!!!
I did manage to get 2 more embroideries done while Michael was watching UCONN:
And Janice, Loree wanted you specifically to see her show & tell from last week at quilting....since it was inspired by your lemoyne star (sorry it's a bit blurry):
Remember the fish quilt that Janice made for her great-nephew at Christmas:
Well, she had a bunch of ''fish'' blocks left over...and made many more...and came up with this:
I LOVE it! And that piano key border will really POP once she gets it quilted and then bound in the dark purple (which is the inner skinny border color).
*** Whenever I see a woman in dire need of a makeover, who is overweight & wearing stretchy clothes and sensible shoes, with mint & chocolate on her breath…carrying a tattered book, snacks and a remote, I stop and think to myself…..I really need to move that stupid mirror. ***
Wow! Janice and Loree's quilts are beautiful!
Great work Janice!!!
Love Janice's new fish quilt.
