Friday morning (10/13) Freya had her first ‘’meet the vet’’ appointment, and she was a trouper! We got all set up with what we have to do for future vaccinations and such….she is currently 24.7 pounds (!!!!) and the vet does not think she will get beyond 45….yikes!!
When we got home, Diane picked me up for a trip to PARTY CITY (I was looking for a tray to use to unmold my Killer Pecan Sticky Buns, and a little something for the veterans luncheon, and I found both!), and then Chicken Salad Chicks for lunch, with a stop at PIKE’s Nursery on the way home.
I was determined to make a lot of progress on Pam’s second quilt, so I headed downstairs. I thought I had a pattern that would be perfect, but when I really looked at it, not only was it NOT what I wanted, but it was only a block design and not an edge-to-edge. I headed to the internet and found exactly what I wanted, and Pam agreed to pay for half of the design (which is the usual set up I have with customers who want something I don’t own. Pam didn’t ask for it, but she was gracious enough to say yes she would pay for it when I said it was perfect :~).
I wound my bobbins and kicked off the stitching:
Her quilt is Halloween themed and I thought this spider web was PERFECT!! I got about half way through the quilt before joining my honey for the evening.

I got my quilt back today, & I was so surprised to see how amazing you made my quilt look! I just love the web design. Thank you. You sure made this beginner quilter look like a professional. Hee, hee.
I LOVE that quilting design on that quilt -it stitched out beautifully and I agree it is PERFECT!
Thanks for the idea, I might use a spider web design somewhere on Leila's quilt.
