I forgot to mention that while I was sewing last evening, I watched a movie on NETFLIX called NOEL DIARY. My sis-in-law Sue recommended it at Christmas time and I really enjoyed it. If you have NETFLIX, give it a try.
Michael made me another wonderful breakfast with the last of the strawberries on Sunday morning (4/2) before going for a walk with Cookie. He got pictures of the gorgeous flowers (I think Azaleas) around the tennis courts:
I putzed around upstairs for a bit before finally heading to the studio in the early afternoon. I got the binding done for my customer quilt and for both blue embroidered quilts:
before finally basting Paula’s quilt:
Yes, I’ve been procrastinating on it just a bit due to my normal nervousness about a customer quilt PLUS the minke back….but it is finally done and I started the quilting:

I headed out first thing Monday morning (4/3) to try to find out when we will be reviewed for the modifications we want to do to our flower beds. (Remember, I was all set to turn this in, in January, when they put a moratorium on all requests until March 1st) I turned in our request just after 7 AM on March 1st…and we still haven’t heard anything. Supposedly our request will be reviewed on Thursday of this week, and we should hear within a day or 2 after that. Then it was off to ALDI’s, where I got a real ego boost. I was wearing my entrelac rainbow sweater (you know, the one that makes me look like a big circus tent…but I don’t care!!!) and 2 separate YOUNG (20's) women went crazy over it!!! That was really nice…and I even gave my card to one of them who always needs help weaving in her ends on her afghans….I told her I would be happy to teach her how to do it. After that I had an appointment at the chiro and was home by 10:30. I had a quick breakfast and packaged up the yogurt I made overnight in the crockpot for Michael:
before finally heading to the studio around NOON.
Pat stopped by in the afternoon to show me her finished (and quilted by her too!!) quilt:
Isn’t that AWESOME!!! I love the colors and the pattern. When her honey saw it, he said he wants one for the bed!!!!! After she left I continued to quilt and by mid-afternoon, Paula’s quilt was done:
I spent the rest of the afternoon and early evening trying to get my One Block Wonder back up on the design wall:
I figured I had better get it back up on the wall before some of it got lost...as it was in 5 different places in my studio!!! Ironing the seams DEFINITELY takes forever, but I think I have everything back and now just need to get it all sewn. Michael and I had baked potatoes with broccoli & cheese for dinner before binge watching 3 episodes of SO HELP ME TODD.

*** Pulled out a nose hair today to see if it hurt…..judging by the reaction of the man asleep next to me on the bus…it seems pretty painful… ***
Can't wait to see the OBW finished !
Yes Pat's quilt is neat and looks like a pattern for FF retreat. laughed at your closing quotes, almost too much.
You found all the pieces? Yay!
I love Pat’s quilt. Really stunning
