Michael was up and out early for golfing on Wednesday (10/23), while I headed to the studio, hoping to get another customer quilt loaded before leaving for my massage:
My massage was heaven, and I got to start quilting when I got home:
I also got the border put on the green Stonehenge quilt:
and it is labeled and in the to-be-bound closet. And I had adorable company while I was working:
We were supposed to make pesto pizza before we went away for the weekend…but never got it done, so that was dinner Wednesday night:
-and with a bit of balsamic glaze.....yum!
And, we didn’t end up watching MOONFLOWER MURDERS….Michael wanted to watch BULLIT (you know, the Mustang movie with Steve MacQueen….big chase scene on the streets of San Francisco…and we saw the actual car that was used in the movie, at the Mustang museum!), so I read my book.

For some reason SHQ seemed extra lively and fun on Thursday (11/24)…and we had great show and tell:
-some of the ''bowl class'' students
-Diane's flip and sew quilt class she'll be teaching in January
I did finish the top I was working on at quilting....Floy has done probably 50 tops using a similar layout, so when I held it up, I said ''just call me Floy''. The focus fabric, grapes/leaves....has probably been in my stash for at least 30 years....but I have now matched all of it to 2 other colors....and it will all be GONE by the time I finish sewing up the other wheelchair quilts....YAY!!!
I was exhausted when I got home, and headed to the lanair for several hours…just enjoying nature….the trees…the birds…the breeze….everything! My honey came home from golf (with a 42 for 9 holes and 1 birdie) and joined me out there.
We had a wonderful time talking and relaxing, but finally around 4:30 PM I went to the studio to continue quilting. We got a pizza for dinner and watched the last 2 episodes of MOONFLOWER MURDERS from PBS….excellent!!!

We left the house at 8 AM Friday (10/25) for dual chiro appointments, and weren’t home again until almost NOON! We did vote on the way home (it was so easy since one of the presidential candidates is a pig (see Latrobe, PA rally for what they think is appropriate presidential speech content), and one is not!) and also did a quick stop at Harris Teeter. It was too funny….we saw Mark at the polling place….then saw Diane & Mark going to the store as we were heading away in our car…small world!
Michael and Freya headed out for a walk, and I headed to the studio to finish up the blue/cream customer quilt. I was finished by 1 PM…and spent a LOT of time after that in getting a blog entry out! I did a little bit of cutting on my 9 patch blocks before joining Michael for an early dinner of leftover pizza!

It surely was an extraordinary Show & Tell !
You must be so proud of your rope bowl students.
