Michael did not get home until after mid-night Friday night….so we were a very slow moving couple on Saturday morning (11/6). There was still lots of morning sunlight…with various furry kids coming and going (there had been a little hissing and batting going on):

Michael cooked up 4 more pieces of the special meat counter bacon…and I made a sandwich with that and cheese and an egg on pumpernickel…..HEAVEN!!!! It really is the gift that keeps on giving….when we went upstairs at some point in the afternoon….it still SMELLED SO GOOD!!!!! My honey went to the grocery store after breakfast to buy flowers for all of the women in the cast, while I headed to the studio, set up my computer program and kick off quilting on the first QoV:

I worked on that all day and evening and only have 2 rows left to do. We had leftovers for dinner and Michael left for his second performance, while I started to work on some 4 patches for another men’s quilt:

Mary Lee got her housewarming present (the joy towel) and already has it displayed:

And Janice has taken her leftovers from the ''jagged edge'' quilt and started to make a border (MAN - that looks like a TON of work!!):

*** If I had 10 cookies and you took half, do you know what you would have? That’s right, a black eye and a broken hand. ***

The little box kite blocks are only going together from the LEFTOVER SCRAPS of the Jagged X, I'm not insane enough to do a whole border in them!!! Although, latest count is 259 of them, so you can call me insane when I actually start sewing them all into a quilt.....

I love the star pattern you used on this American looking quilt! It is perfect for this quilt. Nice message on the Joy towel. Don't believe I ever saw that message before.
