When I took Cookie out Friday morning (6/2), we had another beautiful rose on our bush:
Maybe I should put in a few more rose bushes??
And I got 2 pictures in text messages from Cindy….she went home from our session on Wednesday…and this is what she created:
Isn’t that incredible? This is a woman of many talents!! After she got the cake out of the way, she worked on her own WALK ABOUT pattern….Pam, check out her use of the blue fabric:
I think it is really showcased in the WALK ABOUT pattern.
Anyway, I was up early as I needed to fix my quilts on XENA. Remember how I loaded up a double length of fleece backing? I’ve done that before, so that I can quilt 2 quilts one right after the other. Only this time I made my pattern too high, and I ran out of space on the second quilt after row 3, because all of that fleece on my take up bar takes up a lot of space! So, I had to unwind and cut between the 2 quilts, and take the first quilt off and re-pin the second one. Oh well, at least it’s done and ready for me to finish when I get home again.
Michael and I took off for the TSA pre-check place in Pineville. We are flying to England for the start of our cruise in July, and trying not to stand in line at the airport for 3 hours….so are paying for pre-checking. Home again at 11:30…we had a good idea, but when we got there, all of their monitors were down …so it was a no go :~(…we’re going to try again on Tuesday. Since we were in the area, we hit Krispy Kreme :~), before heading home for the bank and to pick up a bucket of strawberries. Michael left just before NOON for lunch with a bunch of the guys, and I headed to the studio, to keep moving forward on my various projects. By the time I stopped for dinner, all of my WALK ABOUT blocks were in rows:
AND my crazy looking sunburst is all sewn together (thanks Charlie & Sue for working on the pattern while you were here!!):
*** Quilters don’t fear empty nest syndrome…they are imagining the empty bedroom as the perfect sewing room addition. ***
Your sunburst top is spectacular!
Going to be cutting my blue fabric from you for OBW this weekend. Like the way is works in Cindy's walk about.
I love the blue Walkabout!!
I LOVE how your version of Walk About is turning out!!!
