Sashing on striped quilt, bread

Really...this should tell you all you need to know about the orange menace....if you haven't heard enough idiot things already.....

Former President Donald Trump in a new interview asserted presidents don’t have to go through a formal process to declassify sensitive documents and can do so “even by thinking about it.”

The former president’s comments came as he has repeatedly argued that he declassified secret and top-secret documents he took with him to his Florida home after leaving the White House in 2021 amid a Justice Department investigation into his handling of classified materials.

“There doesn’t have to be a process, as I understand it,” Trump told Fox News host Sean Hannity. “If you’re the president of the United States, you can declassify just by saying, ‘It’s declassified.’ Even by thinking about it.”

“There can be a process, but there doesn’t have to be. You’re the president. You make that decision. So when you send it, it’s declassified,” Trump added. “I declassified everything.”

I got my blog out Wednesday morning (9/21) and had a quick talk with Mary Lee before SKYPE’ing with Janice at 9 AM. When we were finished, I didn’t have to stop for breakfast as my honey brought me a smurfy egg/cheese/toast before he left for golf.

So, I dropped back to sewing my striped blocks together, with sashing:

You have to look closely, I’m really getting into these 1/2 inch finished strips:

I got all of the rows done, and started to work on the horizontal sashing:

We were all out of sandwich bread, so I got that made in the afternoon, and we gave away half of a loaf to a neighbor, and another half to a friend:

I stopped for dinner (leftover pizza) and pushed myself to keep working. I got a lot of customer quilts at once…and my turnaround time really slowed down because of that (and a few other things), so I at least got the backing loaded for my next-to-the-last customer quilt:
