Michael headed out to golf on Saturday morning (3/26), although he was home just after 1 PM due to another optical/ocular migraine :~(. I headed out to ALDI’s, with a long list, just after 9 AM. Here’s what it’s like to shop in the south: the checkout gal didn’t like my ham….she thought it was a little past a good date….so went back twice to find me a better one! And she honey-ed and sweetie-d me to death…I left feeling great with a big smile on my face!!!
It took awhile to get everything put away, but eventually I was down in my studio, loading up a customer quilt:
and kicking off the quilting:
That was how I spent my afternoon, as well as getting a little more sewing/pressing done on the chandelier quilt (the bottom half of my blocks are all sewn into rows):
Although it was sunny, it was still a cold day, and we polished off the Mexican Chicken Soup for dinner. We had date night with popcorn and a movie: CASINO ROYALE….Daniel Craig’s first outing as 007.

I headed to the studio after breakfast Sunday morning (3/27), determined to finish up Darlene’s first quilt….and by 3 PM, it was done!
I spent an hour cleaning it up and getting if off of the frame and trimmed, before dropping back to working on my chandelier quilt (now all of my blocks on the top are sewn into rows):
Next up is figuring out my setting and corner triangles.
I also finally got back to cleaning a bit of the basement....a pile and a bag are gone:
-from this:
-to this:
I finished everything I wanted to do by 6 PM and headed upstairs to make dinner…I made kind of a stir fry of onions, baby bella mushrooms, canned tomatoes and chicken, with wilted spinach on top…Michael thought it was pretty good :~).
*** I don’t have bad handwriting….I have my own font. ***
***These kids today have it easy…they find out school cancellations through a text. We had to wake up at 6 AM and watch the bottom of the TV screen like an NBA draft. ***
Was the ham incident at Aldi's?
Love the heart quilting design !
Great job on getting rid of STUFF !
