Michael left for golf early on Saturday (4/9) and even though I thought I had had a reasonable night’s sleep….I took a long nap in the morning (still catching up from retreat maybe?) I finally made it to my studio in the afternoon and got binding made for the chandelier quilt:
and then worked on cutting some of the extra strips I had left from making it:
Michael came home from golfing and of course Cookie had to shower him with love and let him know how much he was missed:
We showered and changed and headed out at 6:30 PM to pick up Anne and head out to Fort Mill Community Playhouse for PROOF. I continue to be amazed at the quality of live theatre this tiny venue produces…this play was AWESOME! The set was perfect and the acting terrific! I was so sorry to see it end…I swear I could’ve sat there for another hour. We were home around 10:30 and settled in to read for a bit before bed.
My friend Jan (who lives in Arizona right around the corner from Arizona Mary) was asked by a decorated blood donor from 3 different countries, to put together a quilt of some of his memorabilia. She has quilting friends from Palmas Del Sol who also worked on it...then they got together to celebrate the finished project...isn't this incredible?

I got laundry started and cooked eggs and made egg salad Sunday morning (4/10), then headed to the studio. I am still procrastinating about quilting MY quilt…and instead worked on all of the leftover strips from my first chandelier quilt. I got a number of new 4 patches made and sewn to background squares and got 2 rows laid out:
Michael came down around 8 PM to let me know THE MASTERS had finished and we watched a couple of DEATH IN PARADISE before bed.
BG - my AMAZON order arrived...and I LOVE it:
Thanks for telling me about it!!!
And my friends will certainly appreciate this one:
*** Making new friends as an adult is hard because the people I'd get along with the best also don't want to leave their house. ***
And Linda, this one's for you and me:
*** Yesterday I completed a chore that I’ve been putting off for 5 months. It took me 20 minutes. I will learn nothing from this. ***
What a nice job they did on the blood donor quilt !!!
What is the gizmo that you ordered from Amazon ?! Do I NEED one ??? 😁
Stop Procrastinating! Now that you have it basted it should not be a problem as you have it stabilized. Or baste it closer together if you think it would help. You need that cuddlie quilt to take those naps with.
