We slept in Sunday morning (2/26); I think we’re still recovering from the visit! I spent all of the rest of the day in my sewing room :~). A little bit of sewing got done when the kids were here…and a lot got done on Saturday and Sunday…here are the highlights:
-I loaded up a double length of fleece for backing, and am quilting on my 2 Arizona Mary quilts.....one with cool colors and one with warm colors...I LOVE these quilts....especially with the black background:
And of course....I had company while I was working:
I got a few more embroideries done:
I think I only need one more set...or at most 2 more, and then I can start to put my quilt top together!
There was a bit more progress on my OBW, as there is one small section (to the right of the big, open square) that I can totally sew together:
And something we haven't seen in YEARS!!! The kitties used to snuggle and sleep together when they were kittens and it was the cutest thing, but after they were about a year old, they are NEVER in the same space together. Well.....here they are, on the same chair....it may not seem thrilling to you, but it is definitely a FIRST since they've grown up:
We celebrated surviving company with champagne:
and puffy things on Sunday night, while watching the movie “UP” and snuggling :~).
*** As far as I’m concerned…the perfect bra is a sweatshirt! ***
I absolutely LOVE both of your quilts! Stunning!!!
