I did a quick clean-up in the kitchen Saturday morning (7/20) before bidding good-bye to Janice….who is leaving for 3+ weeks in Connecticut/Maine TOMORROW!! I took a plate of desserts down to a neighbor…I have to admit I was surprised…..we had way less savory leftovers than sweet…and I certainly assumed it would be the other way around!! Anyway, we talked for a bit and I finally made my way to the studio to load up a double length of 108’’ wide blue backing to complete 2 QoV quilts.
But that’s all the further I got as I wanted to write up my blog entry for the party while it was still kinda fresh in my mind. That took the rest of the afternoon before we got dressed and headed over to Pat’s house. She served drinks and appetizers on their screened in porch, then we moved indoors for salad with a yummy chicken casserole. After cheesecake for dessert, we sat around and talked for a bit:
before Michael and I had to leave.
We got home, fed and walked the dog, packed up some desserts and games and headed over to Susan’s house. There were 6 of us and we ended up playing TELESTRATIONS and laughing our way through the evening. We were home by 10 PM and read our books for just a bit, and I put together waffle batter, before bed.

Arizona Mary & Rick were hoping to come for a waffle breakfast on Sunday (7/21) but it just didn’t work out and they were on the road early, heading to Tennessee for a visit with family! Here's the perfection they had to miss :~):
Michael and I had a late, lazy breakfast before I headed to the studio to start writing thank you notes and continue loading for 2 more Scrap Happy QoV’s:

Although we had major thunderstorms overnight, my honey left for golf bright and early Monday morning (7/22). I think I finally feel totally recovered from the party…and made it downstairs before 11 AM to finish basting another QoV for Scrap Happy:
and setting up the program. I spent over an hour on the computer, ‘’chatting with a representative’’ to try to find where to buy a new electric toothbrush that will still use our charging station and fit all of our toothbrush heads. Of course they don’t make our model number anymore, so I tried to find a newer model to fit our charging station/toothbrush heads…..WHY DO THEY HAVE SO MANY CHOICES?!?!?!? What should be a simple thing takes forever. The ‘’representative’’ gave me 2 models that should still fit our charger and heads, and when I did a search on the ORAL B website for those models…..I still came up with 576 to choose from…that is just ridiculous!! Anyway, I finally found something….and I hope it is the right thing. My honey was home at NOON with a score of 70!!!! But he said I shouldn’t get too excited, because he just used the par 3 tees :~). I got a couple of passes done on the QoV:
and also finally got the inside border on my 3 yard quilt:
*** I’m a person who wants to do a lot of things…trapped in the body of a person who wants a nap. ***
*** I ran twice yesterday….first I ran out of wine….then I ran out to get some more. ***
I agree with you when you have to replace ANYTHING…too many choices!
That will be a stunning QoV.
