Michael got in a quick grocery shopping trip on Monday morning (3/28), since his tee off time wasn’t until just after 11 AM.
I got Darlene’s second quilt loaded up:
and kicked off the quilting:
I know it is hard to see, but it's the paw prints that Paula wanted on her Clemson quilt!
I spent a bit of time trying to figure out what size to cut my blocks for setting triangles for the chandelier quilt and finally settled on 8-1/2 inches (quilt math strikes again!!) I think if I have a lot of the green in the quilt, that’s what I will go with.
Michael came home from golf around 4:30 PM and said they won ‘’all of the money’’…which I think amounted to 3 bucks….but he was happy and that’s what counts. We had leftovers for dinner and watched just a bit of TV before some reading and then bed.
And again...Ethel decided she was going to sleep in Cookie's bed...and Cookie doesn't seem to know what to do!:
(Just a quick aside....I have been taking my blood sugar more often as I try to get a handle on my health, and yesterday after lunch, I got a reading of 94!!!!! I have not seen a reading of under 100 in several years and I am beyond thrilled that I saw that. I know progress is up and down....but I smiled about that all through the afternoon and evening!!!)
In light of the season...I thought this was perfect:
*** How's the diet going?
Not good, I had eggs for breakfast.
Scrambled?
No, Cadbury! ***
Cadbury eggs for breakfast ! That's right up my alley. ;)
Great job on the sugar level. What do you use to 'check' it ?
You did 'quilt math' without moi ?!
What Mary said...Yay for the 94!!!!
Ya for 94, keep up the good work
