Michael was out of the house shortly after 7 AM on Thursday (8/5) to make it to his 8 AM dentist appointment. I read my emails and got my blog out before he came home so that I could leave right away for quilting.
I took 2 of my QoV finishes for Show & Tell, and they were really well received! Of course….there were lots of other beautiful quilts as well:
Paula was pressing a quilt top she is working on, and it looked so crisp I just had to take a picture of it:
I think I have to do this pattern some day...
I headed to PT after that and finally got home just after 2 PM. I advanced my quilt and got the next row set up and started stitching that out, while Michael took a trip to PUBLIX (thanks Anne!!!) and the bird store….we are totally out of bird seed and our little feathered friends are starving.
My quilt customer came to pick up her quilt and was incredibly receptive to my comments on her borders. I offered to have her come over on the next quilt BEFORE she cuts the borders so that we can measure together and she was very happy about that. She is retiring in February and may consider joining SHQ!!!
I continued to work on my Bento quilt and by dinnertime (salads:
and leftovers from our dinner out), the quilt was done:
I SKYPE-d with Mary Lee for 1-1/2 hours after dinner, then joined my honey for a bit of TV before bed.
*** Don't worry....even though you're older, you can still do incredibly fun and exciting things....you just do them S-L-O-W-E-R. ***
*** I tried cooking with wine last night…..after 5 glasses I forgot why I was in the kitchen! ***
