SHQ Show & Tell 3/9/23

Michael packed the car for me Thursday morning (3/9) and I headed out to quilting at the church (I took a bunch of the lemon creme squares and they were a big hit!!)

We only had a tiny bit of show & tell today….for all of the people who wrote to protest not seeing any pictures of quilts, Loree brought up taking pictures of show & tell and it was decided that if a quilter doesn’t want a picture taken of her quilt, she will announce that when she gets up….so I got pictures of the quilts shown (Loree & Robin will be teaching this as a class in April):

(By the way…..I got a LOT of pushback from people who were very much disappointed that there wouldn’t be any more pictures of show and tell from Scrap Happy…I think this is a great compromise…if people don’t want their quilt shown, they only have to say it….everyone else seems fine with it).

-Diane brought in an antique quilt (1930's) and Susie explained a bit about the colors used. I wish you could have seen it up close...it was PERFECT!!

There was very light Show & Tell today which was unusual, but there were a lot of quilters missing as well.

Loree asked me to take another picture of her Lemoyne Star, and I was happy to do it after the blurry pic from last week:

I was home by 2:30 and did intake on a customer quilt before sewing once again. I am working on sashing on the:

and the goal is to have all of the sashing and first border done by the end of weekend. We will see….

My honey was out golfing in the afternoon (just 9 holes) and was home before 4 PM…he wasn’t crazy about his score (I think it was a 47), but I wasn’t surprised as he tends to get very, very tired when he golfs in the afternoon. They guys stopped in the snack shop after golfing, so he wasn’t really interested in dinner, and he brought me home a Rueben egg-roll type thing (which was crispy and yummy), so that tided me over until I came upstairs at 8 PM. He was just finishing up another UCONN women’s game, and they won!
