I got an email early Thursday (6/8) with answers to my questions on the theatre tickets, so pushed the button to purchase them…another thing checked off of the list! I have fallen behind in making binding as I finish my quilt tops, so I spent an hour before quilting cutting strips for 4 recently finished tops. I managed to get 2 of them done at quilting:
Mary Jo - I LOVE how this looks all wound up!!!
and I’ll hopefully finish the other 2 next week. Paula did a long demo of her flip and sew (quilt as you go) technique that was attended by almost everyone at Scrap Happy:
Everyone seemed to learn something and was very complimentary about what a good job Paula did. I was sitting with Sandy D, and she had some blocks she has just finished and I just HAD to show them to you....teeny...tiny....and perfect...she is CRAZY :~):
We had a bit of show and tell:
-Laura ran a mystery quilt this year and Loree decided to do it in QoV colors....I think it turned out GREAT!!!
and I was home by 2 PM.
I spent WAY too much time on my emails, and only finished them up as my honey got home at 4:30 from 9 holes of golf. We have been trying to have a game night once a week, and it basically has been kind of hit or miss. We talked about it again earlier this week and I told Michael I thought we would do better if we picked a specific night of the week. So, we’re going to try dinner out (or take out) and games on Thursday nights. He opted for Chinese, so I headed out to get that, and after dinner he choose to play RUMMY-O (or rummy cube…or rummy something!) I was surprised…I LOVE the game (Cathy L and I used to play it all the time when we lived together, with 2 decks of cards and 2 jokers), but Michael doesn’t like it. He decided he didn’t like it because he didn’t really understand how to play it, so learning to play was what last night was all about. I really enjoyed it, but he said it was too much thinking and he had a headache by the end. Oh well…guess I’d better play it somewhere else. My grandmother and I used to spend hours and hours playing regular rummy when I was growing up....I remember picking up a HUGE discard pile, and then trying to get rid of it before she went out!

Well after seeing a pic of my quilt I found a mistake. Isn't that always the way! 🤣
You were a patient and understanding teacher!! Love U
I'm with Michael on the game thing...if it requires more thinking strategy than I can do while enjoying a glass or 2 of wine, then no thanks! 😁
